Plans are underway to partner with Warm The Children (www.warmthechildren.org), a project of the Rotary Clubs of Old Saybrook, Madison and Guilford, to provide new winter clothing for local children in need. Clarity employees actively donate needed supplies to the food banks of Guilford and Madison on a year round basis. More charitable causes will be announced into 2012 and beyond.

Guilford, CT (August 31, 2011) – Clarity Software Solutions, a Connecticut based company focused on innovative solutions for document management and communications delivery, was a worthy opponent to Hurricane Irene who slammed the northeast shoreline this past week, knocking down trees and power lines with considerable consequences. Local power authorities and internet service providers reported nearly 700,000 customers without power, which included Clarity’s headquarters in Guilford. The majority of the Clarity staff also endured similar loss of power and services, as well as damage to their homes from fallen trees and flooding. Nevertheless, the dedication of Clarity’s staff, combined with its automated processes and network infrastructure enabled Clarity to provide uninterrupted service to its clients during this natural disaster. Clarity’s solutions differentiate themselves as they are supported by redundant offsite data centers and production centers. “A tremendous amount of disaster recovery planning is core to our business model. Clarity Launches Mobile ID Cards For Providence Health Plan

Guilford, CT (August 31, 2011) – Providence Health Plan, working with Clarity Software Solutions, has launched its first smartphone app with the introduction of the mobile ID card app now available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry smartphones. Members can now access a current, electronic version of their member identification card at any time on a mobile device.

The new app allows members to view an image of their member identification card for display at a provider’s office. The card image also can be emailed or faxed directly to the provider. Electronic ID cards are also available for anyone else on the member’s policy, including a spouse and/or dependents.

“We recognize that smartphones and other mobile technologies are changing the way we interact with members,” says Barbara Christensen, chief sales and marketing officer for Providence Health Plan. “We continue to seek additional opportunities to ease the way for members and all patients who utilize Providence services.”

The smartphone app is available for all Providence Health Plan members, including members with employer-group coverage, individual and family, Medicare and Medicaid members.

To protect members’ security, the app requires the member identification number and a separate personal identification number, or PIN, to initially login to the app. In addition, providers will still require picture ID when receiving health care services and determine eligibility of plan benefits.

Greenwood Village, CO (March 15, 2011) – Clarity Software Solutions, Inc., the cutting edge provider of on demand services supporting customized communications for the healthcare industry, has been selected by HealthTrans, LLC to manage their member ID cards and pharmacy benefit membership materials through an innovative product that combines plan information with match affixed ID cards.

“A challenge for a health care provider is to present information to members that is informative, engaging and cost effective. The ‘mini kit’, format was created to help simplify and streamline the communications process for members. The mini kit is a smaller, more streamlined version of the traditional post enrollment member kit and includes only pertinent member information such as benefit schedules, drug lists, and claim forms, significantly reducing print and shipping costs and increasing readability and usability by members. Integrated with the kit are the members personalized ID cards -typically mailed separately from traditional kits - which invites further savings in postage costs by eliminating a second ID Card mailing. The kit is highly customized by plan design and incorporates personalized member and group information and can include integrated business reply envelopes (BREs) and forms as dictated by the clients’ business needs.
